Basics
What is WildFares?+
WildFares is an independent search tool for Frontier flyers, built around GoWild-style trip planning. It helps you find routes, compare fare options, and jump to Frontier to book.
Is WildFares free?+
Yes. WildFares is free to use. There is no paid subscription tier.
Do I need an account?+
Yes. You need a verified account to access the full `/app` experience and run searches.
Is WildFares affiliated with Frontier?+
No. WildFares is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Frontier Airlines or the GoWild program.
Search & Fare Logic
What fare types can I search?+
WildFares supports GoWild, Discount Den, and Standard fare filters (depending on tab). You can combine fare filters to broaden or narrow results.
What is the difference between cached and live search?+
Cached search is faster and uses recently collected data. Live search runs a fresh request and can take longer, but is often better when availability is changing quickly.
Why do I sometimes see blackout indicators?+
Blackout messaging is shown to highlight dates where GoWild availability is often limited or unavailable. It is guidance, not a final booking guarantee.
Are prices guaranteed?+
No. Prices and seat inventory can change at any time on the airline side. Always verify details on Frontier before finalizing plans.
Can I search for families and kids?+
Yes. You can set adults and kids in the traveler selector. Booking links pass passenger counts and child ages through to Frontier.
Explore, Day Trip, Builder
What does Explore do?+
Explore helps you scan the network from an origin or toward an airport, with map/list views, sorting, and fare/weather filters.
What does Day Trip do?+
Day Trip finds same-day round-trip possibilities so you can depart and return the same day, useful for quick trips or mileage runs.
What does Route Builder do?+
Route Builder assembles multi-leg options when direct routes are not ideal. You can constrain layover time, total duration, stop count, and sort strategy.
How do weather filters work?+
Weather filters (like warm/no-rain) appear when forecast coverage is available. In-app logic currently supports weather filtering for near-term dates (about 16 days).
Can I use WildFares on mobile?+
Yes. The app supports mobile layout and includes an install banner so you can add it to your home screen as a web app.
Account, Limits, and Access
How many live searches do I get?+
Right now the live-search limit is 10 per day per account, and it resets at midnight ET. I am keeping it low for now because running the site costs more than I originally expected, and I need the next month or two to tune safe usage limits.
Why can I not access /app after registering?+
You need to verify your email first. After verification, login again and access will be granted.
Can I delete my account?+
Yes. Go to Settings and use the Delete Account option in the Danger Zone.
How do I resend my verification email?+
Use the verification flow page after signup. If you still have issues, contact david@wildfares.com from your account email.
Booking, Reliability, and Support
Does WildFares sell tickets?+
No. WildFares does not process payments or issue tickets. Booking buttons send you to Frontier checkout links.
Why did a result fail when I clicked book?+
Inventory can change quickly. A fare may disappear or reprice between search time and checkout time. Try another result or run a fresh live search.
Was WildFares offline before?+
Yes, there was downtime after upstream API behavior changed in late 2025. WildFares has since been repaired and relaunched with the current app stack.
How do I report bugs or suggest features?+
Send details to david@wildfares.com. Include your route/date, what you expected, and what happened.
Support WildFares
Buy Me a Coffee
If WildFares helped you find a trip, you can support ongoing hosting/scraping costs via Venmo.
What is the “buy me a coffee” popup?+
When you click to book, you may see a quick popup asking if you want to buy me a coffee. It is there to help offset operating costs while keeping WildFares free.
Can the popup be removed if I buy a coffee?+
Yes. If you buy a coffee, email david@wildfares.com with your Venmo name and I am happy to hide that popup for 30 days.
Privacy & Legal
What data do you collect?+
WildFares collects account details and usage data needed to run the service. The site also uses analytics tooling. See Privacy Policy for full details.
Do you store credit card information?+
No. WildFares does not handle payment transactions because booking is completed on Frontier.
Where can I read the legal terms?+
See Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
